Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state
- Prior experience working in pediatric settings, preferably in schools
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Understanding of IEP processes and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Comfortable conducting evaluations, developing goals, and maintaining accurate documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech and language assessments for students referred by school staff
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students’ communication needs
- Monitor and document progress, updating plans as necessary to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations to teams and families
- Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to integrate therapeutic activities into the classroom
- Serve as a resource for parents and staff regarding speech and language development
- Maintain current documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
