The role is based in Warren, MI, and offers a contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).Qualifications and Desired Experience:Active RN license Experience in PACU nursing BLS certification required Comfortable supporting pre-surgical and pre-endoscopy patients Ability to work with Cerner electronic charting system Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required; medical or religious exemptions accepted Responsibilities:Provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical or endoscopy procedures Monitor patients closely, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 Administer treatments and support pre-surgical patient preparation Coordinate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care Adhere to all hospital protocols and infection control procedures Work Schedule:40 hours per week Shift options: 8-hour days (0600-1430) or 10-hour days (0600-1630) On-call component included with shifts from 0600-1430 Every other weekend required No weekend or holiday work unless on call Additional Information:Charting performed using Cerner system Scrub color and other uniform guidelines provided upon hire Facility has 14 beds in the PACU department Contract opportunity for motivated nurses seeking to apply their PACU expertise About Warren, MI:Warren offers a suburban atmosphere with convenient access to urban amenities.
