A registered nurse with experience in interventional radiology and pain management is needed to support a Level 1 Trauma Center in Des Plaines, IL. This contract role requires delivering high-quality nursing care within the Radiology and Pain departments while adhering to facility protocols and safety standards, including wearing lead protection.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in interventional radiology and pain management settings.
- Participate in a mandatory float system across Radiology and Pain departments as needed.
- Respond to on-call duties during assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner charting software.
- Comply with all safety policies, including the use of lead aprons and appropriate infection control measures.
Schedule:
- 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (5x8 hour shifts)
- On-call rotation: Weekdays (12 a.m. 8 a.m.) and 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays
- Weekend work required every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
- Occasional weekend day shifts may be necessary
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in relevant clinical areas
- Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must be local or live within 75 miles of the facility
- Ability and willingness to float within nursing scope as assigned
- Pending licenses not accepted
