Interventional Radiology Tech – Travel Contract Watertown, NY

Minimum 1 years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Specialist Assistant for a travel assignment in Watertown, NY (100-mile radius rule applies).

Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

What You’ll Do:
Provide advanced procedural and clinical support in Interventional Radiology under physician supervision, including:

• Patient assessments across all age groups
• Assistance with IR and fluoroscopic procedures
• Fluoro studies (barium swallow, upper GI, small bowel follow-through, enemas)
• Image-guided procedures including joint injections, biopsies, and drain placements
• Paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures
• Bone marrow and ultrasound/CT-guided biopsies
• Breast biopsies with stereotactic and ultrasound guidance
• Marker clip placement
• Procedure room setup, sterile technique, and equipment management
• Patient education, informed consent, and post-procedure care
• Documentation of findings, outcomes, and procedural notes

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient flow and clinical efficiency
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and techs
• Ensure radiation safety and infection control compliance
• Respond to emergent situations as needed
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program (Bachelor’s required or related field)
• ARRT (R) required
• Additional certifications (CT, US, IR, or RRA) strongly preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• RA or PA with radiology focus preferred
• Strong IR or interventional experience required
