ICU RN - Bakersfield, CA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Requirements:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent ICU nursing experience
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in acute care environments
• Proficient in using electronic health records and standard ICU technology
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong desire to contribute in a team-based, patient-centered unit

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care for ICU patients, utilizing advanced nursing practice and the latest evidence-based protocols
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status while swiftly responding to changes in condition
• Supervise, direct, and mentor other nursing personnel, ensuring cohesive and safe patient care
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to implement integrated treatment plans
• Employ sound clinical judgment in prioritizing tasks within a highly dynamic environment
• Educate patients and their families about conditions and post-ICU care requirements
• Uphold all standard safety and infection control policies throughout shift
