Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization procedures in a dynamic clinical environment. This contract role is based in Fort Wainwright, AK, and offers a challenging and rewarding experience for professionals skilled in imaging technologies and patient care within the cath lab setting.Key Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech with travel experience preferredStrong skills in scrubbing and patient monitoring during proceduresAbility to perform pre- and post-operative duties, including prepping patients, marking pulses, placing leads and defibrillator pads, assisting with TR band deflation, and patient transition care support Familiarity with sheaths and occasional post-procedure sheath removal after hours Preferred: 3 years cath lab experience, with strengths in peripheral vascular procedures ARRT certification preferred; RCIS and BLS certifications also accepted Experience troubleshooting cath lab technology, managing supplies, and working with Siemens and Xper systems is highly desirable Responsibilities:Assist with patient preparation and monitoring in cath lab procedures Support nursing staff with pre-op check-in and post-op patient transitions Participate in call rotations including weekends and holidays as needed Provide technical support and recommendations regarding equipment and supply management Schedule and Location:Full-time, day shifts with 10-hour hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Approximately 40 hours per week Call rotation required: 10-12 call shifts per month Location: Fort Wainwright, Alaska an area known for its stunning natural scenery and outdoor recreational opportunities, perfect for those who appreciate wilderness experiences alongside their professional work Contract Details:26-week assignment starting each March Free housing provided for convenience and ease of relocation This contract opportunity is ideal for cath lab technologists looking to bring advanced technical skills and patient care expertise to a vital cardiac service area.
