What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Coordinator position at Sunbelt-Solomon Services?
- Schedule field service jobs, coordinating customer appointments, technician availability, equipment, and materials.
- Manage work orders—including purchase orders, drawings, estimate forms, and job site photos—using tools such as PowerDB, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Track project materials and monitor equipment calibration to ensure availability and compliance with NETA standards.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients regarding schedules, responsibilities, and project updates.
- Coordinate labor, transportation, and material deliveries to ensure technicians and equipment arrive on site as scheduled.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules, and provide status reports to the Service Support Manager.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain detailed project logs to support accurate and timely reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in coordination or project management preferred, ideally in electrical testing or a related industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Basic understanding of electrical testing processes or willingness to learn NETA standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations (NFPA 70E, OSHA) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- Demonstrates strong work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively across project teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills; mathematical or technical experience is a plus.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and reference check.
- Eligible to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.
