JOB SUMMARY: Provides guidance and support to the education staff to achieve School Readiness Goals for children from birth to five years of age. Ensures full implementation of all aspects of the Head Start Early Learning Methodology and systems of record keeping, reporting, and ongoing monitoring. Provides training and technical assistance to support education staff in successfully fulfilling all aspects of their role. Interview potential education staff. Tracks and analyzes child outcomes and program quality assessment data. Coordinates NAEYC accreditation, re-accreditation, and coordinates submission of NAEYC annual reports with Center/Site Managers. Meets with education staff regularly to plan, develop, and evaluate the effectiveness of services. Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred. Expertise in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Development is required. Three (3) years of management/supervisory level experience in a program that provides services to children from birth to five and their families is required. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Prior Head Start experience is preferred. Prior experience in program planning, development, and evaluation is required. Reliability in CLASS is preferred. Must be able to lift to 40 pounds. A valid South Carolina driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
40 hours weekly.
