Sunbelt Fire, a leading dealership of fire trucks and equipment in the southeast, is growing, and seeking a driven, servant-hearted, and mission-oriented Director of People Development to join our leadership team.
This pivotal role will help shape the future of our organization by incorporating Sunbelt Fire’s mission to glorify God by investing in, empowering, and supporting our employees to reach their full potential. The Director of People Development will oversee both talent development and recruitment functions, working closely with leadership to design and implement strategies that support our growth objectives and cultivate a high-performing and engaged workforce.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
Lead and manage the People Development team
Develop and execute a comprehensive people development strategy
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee skills, knowledge and engagement
- Drive initiatives to enhance resources and support for employees personally, in areas such as finances, nutrition, and marriages
Oversee the recruiting and hiring process
- Develop and promote the organization’s employer brand
- Build strategic relationships for candidate pipelines
Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Assess training needs and develop targeted programs
- Establish partnerships with external training providers
- Spearhead leadership development
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, culture, satisfaction, and retention
- Implement programs and experiences to support personal development of employees and their families
- Implement strategies to reward high performers and address employee feedback
- Assist employees in creating actionable plans to achieve their dreams, providing accountability, encouragement, and resources
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field, or track record of developing and influencing others in an operations or sales environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding recruitment and talent development goals.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive positive organizational change.
- Change management expertise.
POSITION TYPE: Full-time. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.
