Sunaura Solar is a leading solar service provider based in Dallas-Fort Worth. We are expanding our service department and are looking for an experienced Solar Service Technician who can troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues efficiently and correctly. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in clean workmanship, strong electrical knowledge, and delivering an exceptional homeowner experience.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar PV systems
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on panels, inverters, racking, and electrical components
- Replace or upgrade inverters, optimizers, micro-inverters, and monitoring equipment
- Respond to service calls and resolve system performance issues
- Test and verify system output using multimeters and other diagnostic tools
- Explain findings and solutions clearly to customers
- Keep accurate service records and job documentation
- Follow all safety standards, including OSHA and fall-protection requirements
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in solar installation, service, or electrical work
- Strong knowledge of PV systems and DC/AC electrical fundamentals
- Experience with major inverter brands (Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, etc.) is a plus
- Comfortable working on rooftops, in attics, and in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders safely
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude
- NABCEP certification or an electrical license is a plus
