Job Title: IT Business Analyst

Pay Range: $36.00–$50.00 per hour

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670

Schedule: First 2 months fully onsite; afterwards hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. In this role, you will gather and analyze requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, support project delivery, and help enhance systems and processes. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver who can translate business needs into actionable technical specifications and ensure successful implementation of technology initiatives.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, challenges, and priorities.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new systems, software enhancements, and process improvements.
• Evaluate existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization or automation.
• Develop and recommend technology-driven solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and technical documentation for development teams.
• Serve as the liaison between business partners and IT, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize data analysis to identify trends, evaluate change impacts, and generate insights. Create reports, dashboards, and visual presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in all phases of project delivery—including planning, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and post-launch support.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet business expectations.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, system specifications, and user guides.
• Support change adoption by providing training, guidance, and clear communication to end users.
• Provide oversight and ensure alignment across impacted teams; propose alternative solutions or approaches as needed.
• Design integrated workflows that demonstrate interoperability across systems, departments, and business operations.

Experience / Training / Education

Years of Experience:

• Minimum: 3 years
• Maximum: 5 years
• Business analysis, process improvement, or a related field
• Experience configuring system settings and performing hands-on testing (unit, integration, acceptance)
• Proven experience planning and deploying technology or process initiatives

Education Requirements:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data and business processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability in root cause analysis and developing clear, logical solutions.
• Solid understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and related technologies.
• Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and data tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-focused environment.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Adaptability and a willingness to explore new ideas and approaches.
