Sun Valley Resort is seeking an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist with a background in ski resort or seasonal operations to lead our recruitment efforts and help shape the future of our workforce. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative, scalable recruitment strategies that support both seasonal and year-round hiring needs.
- Partner with department heads to understand workforce needs and create proactive recruitment plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleges, vocational schools, and industry organizations to create a pipeline of candidates.

Manage job postings across platforms, including resort websites, industry-specific boards, job fairs, and social media.
Collaborate with hiring managers to craft clear, compliant, and compelling job descriptions aligned with Sun Valley's employer brand.
Admin on the full cycle of recruitment within the UKG Recruiting platform, from application through onboarding paperwork.
Act as the point person for H-2B seasonal visa processes—including petitioning, compliance, onboarding, and offboarding.
Serve as a resource to job seekers, providing information about job opportunities, resort amenities, housing options, and employee benefits.
- Utilize UKG Recruiting system and data analytics to drive recruitment efficiency and decision-making.
- Train and support hiring managers on interview techniques, candidate selection, and employment law basics.
- Enhance Sun Valley Resort’s employer brand through targeted recruitment marketing, social media, and community engagement.
- Represent Sun Valley Resort at job fairs, career expos, and networking events, delivering engaging presentations and fostering relationships with potential candidates.
- Maintain current knowledge of hiring trends, labor market shifts, and best practices within the ski and hospitality industries.
- Assist departments in determining optimal employee headcount to align with labor costs and operational efficiency.
- Respond to internal and external recruitment-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Generate recruitment reports as needed.
- Support HR department with cross-functional projects and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably within a ski resort, seasonal, or hospitality environment.
Experience with international hiring programs (especially H-2B) strongly preferred.
Familiarity with UKG Recruiting or similar applicant tracking systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to have difficult but professional conversations to improve business outcomes.

Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak periods as needed.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically for recruitment purposes.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
