What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Busser position at Sun Valley Resort?
A Restaurant Busser will work in one of our Food & Beverage venues. They will clear, clean, and reset tables in preparation for serving guests while taking food to guests in a timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure tables are clean and set – ready for guests
- Fill water glasses immediately after guests are seated
- Clear all dishes, glassware, paper goods, and table linens at proper times as guests complete their meals or depart their tables
- Place all items into the bussing cart, on bussing trays, or into tubs
- Reset tables with napkins, silverware, water glasses, and dishes as directed
- Empty bussing carts, trays, or tubs in the kitchen areas
- Make sure all glassware and silverware are clean and polished
- Stock various clean dishes, glassware, and condiments at the server’s station
- Ensure that there is enough freshly brewed coffee
- Empty kitchen garbage receptacles and take bags to the dumpster
- Expedite food to guests in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
- Must safely move objects up to approximately 50 pounds about the workplace
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as scheduled
