Responsibilities

- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering duties
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and product displays to maximize sales potential and maintain visual appeal
- Develop and implement sales strategies, promotional activities, and marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Handle purchasing decisions, vendor negotiations, and procurement processes to ensure optimal inventory levels at competitive prices
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports on sales trends, budgeting, and operational efficiency to inform decision-making
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and health regulations while fostering a positive team environment focused on excellent customer service
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail industry sales teams or garden center operations with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail management principles including inventory control, merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS systems
- Excellent communication skills in both bilingual or multilingual settings; ability to train staff effectively in employee orientation and development programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
