The Human Resources Department is seeking an Office Assistant to provide customer service in support of the general operations of the Human Resources Department. The Office Assistant will assist with general inquiries at the front desk by providing customer service in person and over the phone.
Human Resource Office Assistant General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responds to internal and external Human Resources inquiries.
- Greet all visitors.
- Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments.
- Ensure policies, procedures, and reporting comply with federal and state laws.
- Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data.
- Compile and update employee records in an organized filing system.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the People Operations office.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of People Operations and duties.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping HR information confidential.
- Answer routine policy and procedure questions from employees.
- Assist with onboarding duties, including but not limited to background checks, I-9s, and new hire documents.
- Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages.
- Administration tasks such as performing background checks and filing and maintaining paperwork.
- Issue identification cards and employee ski passes.
- Prepares outgoing mail and sorts and distributes incoming mail.
- As needed, assist in planning company events, meetings, luncheons, or special projects.
- Must be willing to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Human Resource Office Assistant Qualifications:
- While performing the job's duties, the employee must regularly walk, use hands, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Must safely move objects up to approximately 35 pounds about the workplace.
