Sun Valley Animal Center is one of the premier orthopedic veterinary hospitals in the Northwest. The Sun Valley Animal Center is looking to add positive, hard-working, self-disciplined, detail-oriented employees to our great Pet Lodge team.
Position Overview
- The Animal Care Specialist supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. This position supports veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment; feeding, exercising, restraining and handling pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: personal attention to our pet guests, feeding and cleaning guests and daily cleaning and maintenance of the kennels and grounds.
- Baths, dog walking and hikes are also a part of the employee's daily routine.
Qualifications
- Candidates must also have a valid driver's
- Should be able to communicate in a professional manner with clients, including outstanding phone and computer skills.
- Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting or carrying moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds)
Schedule
- Four 10-hour days including weekends
- This position is full time, year-round and eligible candidates must be able to work weekends.
