Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Certified Pest Control Operator to oversee and perform pest management services in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining safety standards, supervising technicians, and ensuring all applications meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pest control treatments for residential and commercial properties, and lawn/ornamental pests (depending on license categories).
- Apply pesticides and chemicals safely and in accordance with label instructions and regulatory standards.
- Diagnose pest issues, identify infestations, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and chemical usage logs.
- Ensure compliance with all Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) regulations and guidelines.
- Supervise and train pest control technicians.
- Conduct site inspections and provide preventative recommendations to clients.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding services, findings, and follow-up treatments.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and safety gear in proper working condition.
- Respond to customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Active Florida Pest Control Operator License (FDACS) in one or more categories:
- Lawn & Ornamental (L&O)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pest control or related field.
- Strong knowledge of pest identification, treatment methods, and safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pest Control Operator License (FDACS) in one or more categories:
- Lawn & Ornamental (L&O)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pest control or related field.
- Strong knowledge of pest identification, treatment methods, and safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising or managing pest control technicians.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Knowledge of IPM (Integrated Pest Management) practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and crawl in tight spaces (attics, crawlspaces).
Work Environment
- Field-based role servicing residential and commercial properties.
- Exposure to chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage.
