About Us
Sun Star Insurance Agency is an established property & casualty (P&C) insurance agency serving the New York community. We are a small, friendly team that takes care of our clients and each other. We are growing and looking for a dependable Client Service Associate to help our clients and keep our day-to-day running smoothly.
What You'll Do
This is a people-first role. As a Client Service Associate you'll be the friendly, familiar voice your clients count on, and a big part of your day is building real relationships with them, not just pushing paperwork. Many of our clients are more comfortable in Chinese, so you'll use your Mandarin or Cantonese every day. It's a great chance to sharpen your communication and social skills while you learn the insurance business. Day to day you'll:
- Be the go-to person clients reach out to, building trust and rapport over time
- Guide clients through their policy renewals and walk them through their options
- Help clients with payments and make the process easy for them
- Prepare endorsements (policy changes) as clients' needs change
- Quote new policies and help prospective clients find the right fit
You'll connect with people all day by phone and email, so every conversation is a chance to grow your network and your people skills.
Who We're Looking For
You don't need insurance experience and you don't need a license. If you speak Mandarin or Cantonese, you're organized and reliable, and you're good with people, we'll teach you the rest. This role is a great fit whether you're a recent graduate starting your career or someone looking for a stable, steady job with a supportive team.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese (speaking both is a big plus)
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication and people skills
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Comfortable with computers and basic office software
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice to have (not required):
- Any prior customer service or office experience
