Summary: The South Florida Sun Sentinel is offering two internships for graduate or undergraduate students. The topic areas are determined by staff needs as well as the skills of the applicants. One is usually a Sports intern, and the other can be in any of the following disciplines: News, Features, Data Reporting, Photo-Visuals. The people selected as interns will work full time for 10-12 weeks in summer 2026. What you will do: Research, report and write articles to be published on SunSentinel.com and in the South Florida Sun Sentinel newspaper, OR Shoot photo or video to be published on SunSentinel.com, its social media channels and in the South Florida Sun Sentinel newspaper Collaborate with members of the editorial news teams to brainstorm ideas and pitch content on topic areas in metro news, features-entertainment, photo, or sports Assist with the creation and editing of content, including articles, social media posts, and other written or visual materials What you will bring: Interns generally are current college students, but we also will consider recent college graduates Professional experience through a previous internship or freelance work is strongly preferred, though students whose experience is limited to campus media also will be considered Candidates must be college students who have completed basic journalism courses Photographers must have their own equipment Interns are responsible for finding their own housing Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Who we are: The South Florida Sun Sentinel, founded in 1910, serves Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties.
