What You'll Do:
As a Mail Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that outgoing mail is processed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your day-to-day will include:
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining inkjet printers, folders, and inserters.
- Scheduling and prioritizing projects to ensure timely completion.
- Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Adhering to written specifications for each order and monitoring print quality.
- Investigating and initiating resolutions for any substandard work.
- Sorting, traying, sacking, and palletizing mail.
- Ensuring all mail is compliant with current USPS regulations.
- Updating project statuses using electronic recordkeeping systems.
- Maintaining inventory of all materials and supplies needed for processing.
- Advocating and exemplifying safety in all activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2 year of experience in a print production environment.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to error-free work.
- Ability to read small text and interpret job tickets or technical instructions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking.
- Standards for professional attendance and punctuality.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift 25 pounds, and perform repetitive bending, stretching, or kneeling.
- Ability to pass a background check.
