Senior Quality Control Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control Analyst to join our dynamic QC team. In this role, you will perform GMP-compliant analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples. You will also lead initiatives to maintain and improve laboratory systems, mentor junior analysts, and serve as a technical resource across the organization. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with deep analytical expertise and a passion for quality.

Areas Of Responsibility

• Conduct release, stability, validation, and non-routine testing using USP and EP methodologies.
• Investigate assay issues, failures, and complaints using Trackwise; document and follow up on findings.
• Calibrate, monitor, and maintain laboratory systems and equipment, including water systems and environmental chambers.
• Author and execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for laboratory instrumentation.
• Manage key laboratory programs such as calibration and reference standards.
• Serve as liaison to external service, calibration, and technical support teams.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with GDPs and GLPs.
• Ensure laboratory compliance with cGMP standards through internal inspections and documentation review.
• Mentor and train junior analysts in lab techniques, instrumentation, and processes.
• Perform monthly maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment and instruments.
• Support visual inspection qualification and other assigned duties.
  
  

Job Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control.
• Strong foundation in chemical principles and analytical instrumentation.
• Proficient in wet chemistry techniques (USP, ACS, titration, limit tests).
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including:
• UV/VIS Spectrometer, TOC Meter, pH Meter, Autotitrator, Karl Fischer Titrator
• HPLC, GC, IR, Gamma Ray Spectrometer, Flame AA, Polarograph, Osmometer
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing complex lab instruments.
• Experience with Trackwise, Novatech, and Empower software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform both standard and non-standard analytical techniques.

Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan.
