Position Overview:
The Dental Office Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. This position involves managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, handling patient communications, and supporting daily office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently
- Verify insurance and process patient information
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area
- Coordinate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred (but not required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software
