What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Associate position at Sun Noodle?
The Marketing Associate will coordinate and execute marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, media communications, event management, and customer care for the Hawai’i market. He/she will work closely with administration, marketing, sales, quality assurance, and research/development departments primarily in Hawai’i. The Marketing Associate will be the lead communicator to the Hawai’i team about marketing programs and to the marketing team about Hawai’i programs. There will be a high degree of visibility with internal and external customers alike.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Brand
o Research
- Devise, conduct and analyze market research to identify new revenue opportunities, analyze consumer behavior, and build impactful marketing campaigns.
- Monitor customer and competitor activities, provide insight with call to actions.
o Creative
- Lead creative process initiated by briefs in Hawai’i, which includes all forms of advertising, social media posts and sell sheets.
- Partner with creative agencies as needed to develop creative assets, including big idea campaigns for the Hawai’i market; and manage timelines and metrics.
- Organize communication and public relations events.
o Strategy
- Create and implement strategies that grow the Sun Noodle brand.
- Devise marketing programs to drive sales in Hawai’i which may or may not include new marketing tactics.
- Product
o Drive the development of new products and corresponding packaging for the Hawai’i market.
o Work collaboratively with sales to successfully launch new products in Hawai’i.
- Digital
o Social
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategy for Hawai’i.
- Manage the development of digital marketing platform content and imagery for Hawai’i.
- Manage customer service email accounts and answer customer inquiries via social media (direct messages and comments) for Hawai’i.
- Co-Lead the updating and revising of Sun Noodle’s web design & layout, including Shopify for Hawai’i.
o E-commerce
- Grow Hawai’i e-commerce business and website.
- Partnering with operations to coordinate online order fulfillment and inventory control.
- Sales
o Define and implement a customer marketing strategy for each key retailer in Hawai’i.
o Devise solutions that drive the business by analyzing sales to determine trends and impact of marketing plans.
o Create Sell sheets for products, POP, Catalogs, Recipes, presentation components as well as any other requests from the Hawai’i sales team.
o Lead in Hawai’i trade show activities, including on-site, pre-, and post- promotions, booth setup and displays, press materials and releases, and logistical coordination.
o Develop and cultivate a Hawai’i partnership program noodle partners (chefs, retailers, and distributors)
o Manage partnerships with chefs with activities such as events, digital coverage, and special noodle delivery.
o Organize and execute promotional campaigns and demo tastings with our noodle partners at retail and foodservice.

o Track and report marketing spending.
o Assure that new products meet Sun Noodle margin requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
· previous food or beverage marketing and branding helpful.
1-3 years related experience
· A willingness to travel to trade shows and to support our markets and noodle partners.
· A strong communicator, speaking, presentation, and writing.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Illustrator; Shopify et al.
· Working knowledge of interactive technologies and communication tools including email, social media, and viral marketing techniques (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
· Some experience with Photoshop, basic HTML, social media publishing tools and video editing.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
