This is a 2nd shift position with hours 7:00 pm - 3:00am(Training will be conducted on 1st shift for 2 months)
Must be flexible to work weekends!
Facilities Maintenance Technician MUST HAVE 1-2 years EXPERIENCE AS A MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN IN A FOOD MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT!
This position is for the person that is good with their hands with a few years of machine maintenance experience, flexible with their schedule, willing to learn and is looking for long term employment with a company that cares about the employees!

SUMMARY
- Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will conduct machine set up, troubleshoot equipment failures, and perform repair and prevent maintenance services ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed. The candidate will have hands on working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems. Candidate will be able to learn how read and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, as well as service manuals for all equipment. Candidate will be required to Repair both Electrical and Mechanical Problems associated with Production and Facility related Equipment, in a timely manner. Must be able to work under pressure to repair equipment back to service during emergency breakdown
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Provides emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment during the manufacturing process, performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production and facility equipment.
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs
- Repairs and maintains heating, ventilation, a/c, and refrigeration equipment
- Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production line machines
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Creates and modifies preventive maintenance procedures.
- Coordinates and expedites repair operations with production supervisors.
- Ensures that equipment is running at proper speeds to achieve standards and quality
- Manages daily work orders, completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Performs cleaning operations using detergent baths, de-greasing, grit blasting, wire brushing, etc
- Uses power hand tools daily in a safe manner.
- Performs equipment inspections, correcting any process or safety deviations.
- Follows OSHA and GMP Standards. Recommends and implements improvements needed to comply with standards. Follows Company Handbook Standards and Rules.
- General facility maintenance (i.e. painting, office repairs, doors/locks, etc)
