Role Description The HVAC Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucson, AZ, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC issues, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, and completing system inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety. The role involves working with plumbing and piping connections related to HVAC systems, handling refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations, and performing electrical checks and minor repairs on system components. The HVAC Technician will also document work performed, communicate clearly with project managers and clients, follow safety protocols, and support other mechanical trades as needed to help deliver high-quality projects.
Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently.
  • Experience with plumbing and piping related to HVAC installations and repairs.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to extend system life and improve reliability.
  • Knowledge of EPA regulations and proper handling of refrigerants; EPA certification preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of electricity as it applies to HVAC controls, motors, and wiring.
  • Previous experience as an HVAC Technician in commercial or industrial environments is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, adherence to company procedures, and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervisors, peers, and clients.
  • Relevant trade school, apprenticeship, or HVAC certification is preferred; valid driver’s license required.
