Job Description: The Bermuda Treasury Department reports to the Director, Finance Operations and is responsible for supporting both the Life and Wealth Businesses in Sun Life International. The team is responsible for the execution of wire/EFT/ACH transactions to clients and third parties in addition to supporting on-island employees through purchasing and employee reimbursement activities. This individual manages the team, ensuring that all objectives are met in alignment with Sun Life best practices. The Senior Treasury Manager is responsible for managing a team of two Treasury Analysts and supporting the Director with Bank Relationship Management. Responsibilities: Proactively liaise with the wider finance function with regards to weekly/monthly forecasting and liquidity planning for all group entities, providing updates to the CFO/Director as required. Responsible for communicating with Asset Liability Management to support investing activity. Primary point of contact for all Treasury and Finance banking projects that interface with Group’s bank providers, specifically serves as the subject matter expert on the Treasury function in Bermuda, shares knowledge with the project team and organizes and implements any updates/changes as necessary to align with SL best practice. Manage the administration of the intercompany loan portfolio and documentation archive. Liaise with the Corporate Intercompany office for any updates. Collaborate with the CFO and Legal counsel to research, establish and document any new intercompany agreements required by the business. Primary Systems Administrator for online banking systems and maintenance of documentation in line with SOX requirements, ensuring team members are fully trained on these systems and understand the importance of proper controls and documentation. Responsible for oversight of accurate commissions reporting. Responsible for producing SOX Flow reporting for all on-island finances in line with best practice and international SOX standards. Supports any month end closing activities as required including: reconciling bank accounts, reconciling intercompany loan positions, as part of SL global monthly financial reporting process. Drives cross functional process improvement, systems integration, and automation. Attracts, retains, and develops a diverse team of talented employees as part of an efficient and high-performance culture within Sun Life. Sets priorities and accountable for performance results of own team. Performs other duties on an ad hoc basis as may be required from time to time by Management both within the treasury function and for other areas of Finance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major is required 7 years in the Finance Industry with 3 years in the Treasury Sector 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is a plus Treasury and banking experience is required Solid written communication skills are required with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as this individual has direct contact with SLF management in Bermuda, US, Canada, and Asia. Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy while working toward challenging goals and deadlines ·Attention to detail and accuracy of information produced and recorded is essential Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
