Sun Lakes Country Club & Homeowners Association #1 is currently seeking an experienced Porter. This role provides housekeeping services to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the facilities totaling approximately 65,000 sq. feet, acting as a hybrid role with minor maintenance technical abilities. Areas of service include the Country Club Clubhouse, Fitness Center, Main Pool, Pro Shop, Restaurant, Bar, and Oasis within the Sun Lakes #1 community.
Schedule
Sunday-Thursday, 4:00 am - 12:30 pm
Hourly Rate
$17.00-$19.00 *Dependent upon experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as buffing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Preferred: Experience in a hospitality or facilities management environment.
- Basic maintenance skills
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning: Performing thorough cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces using appropriate techniques and equipment. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
- Maintenance: Reporting and potentially assisting with minor maintenance issues like plumbing leaks, broken fixtures, or malfunctioning equipment. Sweeping of pools, light audits and repairs.
- Waste Management: Ensuring proper disposal of trash and recycling according to established procedures.
- Stocking and Inventory: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items.
- Safety and Security: Maintaining a safe environment by promptly addressing hazards, such as slippery floors, and ensuring doors are locked when appropriate.
- Event Support: Assisting with the set-ups & teardowns and cleanup of events and meetings.
- Customer Service: Providing assistance to visitors and directing them to the appropriate areas.
- Basic Maintenance: Performing tasks like changing light bulbs or air filters, and minor repairs.
- Assistance: Supporting other staff members with tasks such as moving furniture or equipment.
- Compliance: Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Awareness: Observe precautions required to protect property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to Administrative Services to be relayed to General Manager.
- Other duties as requested.

Education
High school diploma/GED; vocational school background or special schooling in custodian courses is helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Experience in custodial duties and minor maintenance preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in adult community associations is also preferred.
Certificates and Licenses
Must have current Arizona Driver's License.
Equipment Utilized
Maintenance hand tools, housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, etc.
