Sunset Grill Restaurant and Mulligans Bar, located within Sun Lakes Country Club & HOA #1, is currently seeking an experienced Bartender/Server with a strong Server skillset, alternating bartending/serving shifts as needed.
Job Description
As a Bartender/Server, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and crafting memorable experiences for our guests. Your expertise in bartending, cocktail preparation, and food safety will ensure high-quality service at the bar and dining area. You will utilize your skills with POS systems (TOAST), to efficiently manage orders and payments. With a focus on casual dining and banquet experience, you will enhance guest satisfaction while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Part Time Position
$14.35 hourly wage tips.
Bartender Essential Duties
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar patrons
- Interact with patrons, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess patron's needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare both basic and skilled cocktails
- Verify patron's identification and confirm homeowner's status
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Remain guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all beverage Title 4 Certification regulations
- Personable and tactful with homeowners and guests
- Maintain a clean bar and return liquor to locked area
- Balances cash register and bar bags.
- Familiar with the requirements of the Private Club Liquor License and Arizona liquor laws
- Responsible for reporting tips as required by IRS.
Server Essential Duties
- Prep room for dining
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Assist patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
- Relay orders via POS to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
- Keep kitchen staff informed by communicating timing of meal progression
- Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
- Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting patrons to return
- Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment, returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Food and Beverage Director.
- Assist with special events as needed
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
*Must posses current Food Handlers Card & Title 4 Certification
