Job Summary:
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and common areas within the country club or homeowner's association. This role ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for residents, members, and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, basic electrical, and basic carpentry.
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, amenities, and common areas to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Repair and maintain doors, windows, locks, roofing, and other structural components.
Assist with the maintenance of swimming pools, fitness centers, clubhouses, and other recreational facilities in compliance with safety and health regulations.
Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Respond to emergency maintenance situations such as leaks, power outages, and safety hazards.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
2 years of experience in general building maintenance, facility management, or a similar role.
Knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, basic carpentry, and general repair work.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform manual labor as needed.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a country club, HOA, resort, or similar residential community is a plus.
Work Schedule & Environment:
Full Time
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
4:00 am - 2:30 pm
May require weekends, evenings, and on-call availability for emergency repairs.
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
