Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Unix/Linux administration, troubleshooting, automation, monitoring, and production support in large-scale environments.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Unix/Linux Administration (RHEL, CentOS, Solaris, Ubuntu)
- Hands-on experience with Shell Scripting and automation
- Experience in server installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Knowledge of user administration, file systems, permissions, and security
- Experience with process monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, SSH, NFS)
- Experience with scheduling tools like Cron
- Knowledge of VMware/Virtualization environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana
- Experience supporting production and critical environments
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred
- Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Unix/Linux servers across enterprise environments
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Handle server patching, upgrades, and security compliance activities
- Support application deployments and infrastructure operations
- Create and maintain automation scripts for operational tasks
- Work closely with application, network, and database teams
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call support and weekend maintenance activities
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of Linux Administration experience
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Experience working in enterprise production support environments
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
