Reports To: Operations Manager
Shift: Morning / Day (coordinates handoff to night shift)
Position Summary
This role is responsible for coordinating daily dispatch, shipping, and receiving operations, ensuring orders are processed, staged, and delivered accurately and on time, while supporting food safety compliance in the warehouse. The position requires close communication with sales, packing/sorting, drivers, and the food safety team.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Processing & Dispatch
- Enter and type morning invoices into QuickBooks.
- Determine order priority and manage which orders the warehouse processes first.
- Assign and manage which drivers take which orders.
- Book delivery appointments with customers that require scheduled appointments.
- Book trucks for out-of-state shipments and long-haul deliveries.
- Arrange drivers for airport pickups.
Shipping & Receiving Coordination
- Check emails for incoming container notifications and coordinate accordingly.
- Communicate with the packing/sorting team on which orders need to be completed first.
- Keep sales team updated on delivery status throughout the day.
- Write and hand off job duties/instructions for the night-time worker.
Food Safety Support
- Check in with the food safety team on any maintenance or compliance items needed for the day.
- Flag and follow up on outstanding food safety or maintenance issues with the appropriate team.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dispatch, warehouse, or logistics coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar invoicing/accounting software.
- Strong communication skills — comfortable coordinating across multiple teams (drivers, packing, sales, food safety).
- Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices a plus.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Pay: $23/hr - $26/hr
Pay: $45,000.00 - $54,080.00 per year
Work Location: In person
