Location: Port Charlotte, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Weekends & On-Call as Needed
Salary: LPN: $75,000 – $77,000 | RN: $88,000 – $90,000 (Annual Salary)

Sun Harbor is seeking a dedicated and skilled Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to join our leadership team. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and audits as needed.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of care plans, MDS assessments, and required documentation.
Maintain adequate staffing and ensure staff compliance with job duties and standards of care.
Conduct daily rounds to monitor patient care and staff performance, reporting findings to DNS.
Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules for accuracy and timeliness.
Provide direct nursing care when needed and support clinical team members.
Participate in new resident admissions, assessments, and discharge planning.
Oversee EMR dashboard, documentation accuracy, narcotic counts, and emergency equipment checks.
Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting of accidents, abuse concerns, and changes in condition.
Maintain communication with families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Support Quality Assurance initiatives and participate in evaluations of LPNs and CNAs.
Candidate Requirements:
Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of Florida.
LPNs must hold current IV Certification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Prior management and supervisory experience required.
Strong knowledge of nursing practices, long-term care regulations, and EMR systems (PointClickCare).
Time management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
Wound care experience preferred.
Must Have:
- Nursing Home / Skilled Nursing Facility Experience
- Valid RN or LPN (with IV certification for LPN)
- Management Experience
- PCC
- Tracheostomy experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
