We are currently seeking a Truck Mechanic for our branch in Selkirk, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Truck Mechanic you will assist the Lead Mechanic in performing all maintenance tasks that ensure a functional and operational transportation fleet. This includes performing diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of a variety of vehicles to ensure proper performance, repair, and safety.
- Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles
- Perform repairs on various types of trucks
- Perform regular maintenance on fleet
- Prioritize work orders and stay on task
- Maintain vehicle records and repair orders
- Recommend vehicle repairs as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in truck repair.
- Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's License.
- Must possess your own tools.
- CDL A and/or CDL B license preferred but not required.
- Certified NYS DMV Vehicle Safety Inspector preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of NYS DMV vehicle safety specifications.
- Knowledge of US DOT vehicle safety specifications.
- Advanced knowledge of automotive/truck diagnostics, repair, and maintenance processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
