We’re currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a strong surgical background to join our compassionate and talented team. Here is What Your day May Consist of:
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, with an emphasis on anesthesia monitoring, sterile technique, and patient safety.
- Perform pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery, ensuring each patient is comfortable and closely monitored.
- Administer medications, fluids, and pain management under DVM supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including anesthetic logs and post-op instructions.
- Manage and maintain surgical equipment and instruments for optimal functionality and sterility.
- Support dental procedures including radiographs, charting, and assisting with extractions.
- Educate clients on post-operative care and recovery, promoting excellent patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and support staff to uphold our commitment to high-quality, holistic care.
- Current LVT license (or eligibility for South Carolina licensure).
- 2 years of experience in a surgical or general practice setting preferred.
- Proficiency in anesthesia protocols, surgical prep, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and compassionate with both pets and their people.
- Interest in integrative veterinary medicine is a plus, but not required.
