Sun City has an opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator to join the Warehouse/Distribution Center in Pompano Beach, FL. We are looking for responsible individuals who enjoy working at night in a fast-paced work environment.

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move, locate/relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The job will include but not be limited to the following:

• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck or other powered equipment
• Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and loading functions as required
• Maintain equipment by performing daily inspections and minor maintenance as needed
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Return undelivered product to their proper inventory locations
• Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations
• Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
• Efficiently move product from staging areas into storage locations
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, as well as perform cleaning and maintenance duties as directed by Warehouse Supervisor
• Assist with physical inventory and cycle counting
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security is maintained
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Various other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1-2 years of forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment (Required)
• Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, divide (Required)
• Ability to operate industrial equipment, pallet jack, clamp truck, and cherry picker (Preferred)
• Able to read and write legibly and take/follow directions
• Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software
  applications
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must be able to work overnight hours

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Work to be performed in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from -22 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
• Regular lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders, usage of pallet jacks
• Job frequently requires handling objects with hands, standing, walking; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
