RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up and deliver products to assigned locations as instructed
- Properly load and unload product at various customer locations in a professional, courteous, timely, safe, and efficient manner
- Operate pumps for loading and unloading of bulk products
- Complete and turn in paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Properly follow all DOT regulations, policies, and procedures
- Follow Sun Coast and customer operational and safety policies and procedures
- Use onboard technology as instructed (Smartlogix, Samsara)
- Cross train on box van
- Comply with Sun Coast's accident and incident reporting procedures for accidents and spills
- Other related tasks as assigned by manager
- Locals only please. Must live within 60 miles of terminal
- Minimum age 23
- Valid class A or B license with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a good driving record, and a good understanding of DOT regulations
- Must have at least one year of experience hauling liquid bulk in a tanker trailer or bobtail
- Must be able to pass background screening including MVR and criminal
- May be subject to comply with site specific drug testing requirements which may include hair follicle drug testing
- Must have experience hauling and offloading bulk products
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to use three points of access getting in and out of the tractor, multiple times a day
- Must be able to climb up steps to verify tank compartments as needed
- Must be able to work safely in uneven or muddy surfaces
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and get along with others
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and communicate using the English language well enough to perform the job functions
- Strong customer service skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, manage time, organize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience in the fuel and or Lube industry
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and an extended workweek-overnight and/or out-of-town travel
- Some mechanical and electrical aptitude
