JOB TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor
LOCATION: Montgomery, AL
POSITION REPORTS TO: Terminal Manager
SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some overtime and weekends to be expected.
COMPENSATION: Hourly. Commensurate with skills and experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile packaged, truck, and bulk lube activity
- Manage and complete monthly inventory reconciliation, including cycle counts, resolving inventory variances, and maintaining inventory control
- Coordinate tank orders and deliveries, manage tank inventory
- Manage and maintain security of the building and stock to ensure all products are accounted for
- Proactively maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the warehouse
- Research and resolve product cost, storage, and freight discrepancies
- Ensure proper protocols and procedures are followed
- Identify and resolve internal control gaps
- Continual cost, service, and operational improvement
- Facilitate and maintain internal and external business relationships
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with other Sun Coast departments and with customers
- Meet deadlines for month-end closings
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be local (live within 60 miles)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license and a good driving record
- Must be able to pass background screening including a criminal background
1 year prior supervisory/management experience in an operational role
- Prior inventory management experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, Excel and Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly
- Ability to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk and reach above shoulder
- Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
- Ability to work with tools
- Ability to provide leadership to through exceptional relationship and performance management
- Must be detail oriented, organized and self-motivated
PREFERRED
- SAP experience
- Experience and knowledge of fuel and lubricant products
