About the Position
Sun City Texas, a vibrant active adult community in Georgetown, Texas, offers an array of exceptional amenities to its 17,000 residents. With three scenic golf courses, four fully equipped fitness centers, eight inviting pools, tennis courts, nature trails, and pickleball, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Beyond these facilities, residents can participate in more than 50 clubs and interest groups, ranging from visual arts and photography to woodworking and gardening. The Member Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Member Services Department while actively working alongside the team to support daily functions and deliver exceptional service. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires leading by example, fostering a collaborative team environment, and providing guidance, coaching, and support through active participation in departmental operations.
This position leads a team responsible for resident registrations, member records, ID badges, ticket sales, club memberships, homeowner payments, and resident support services. In addition to supervising and developing staff, the Manager performs many of the same day-to-day responsibilities as the team, ensuring service standards, operational efficiency, and accuracy are consistently maintained. The Manager works collaboratively with other departments to ensure efficient operations, accurate recordkeeping, and outstanding customer service while supporting the goals and objectives of the Community Association.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, supervise, train, coach, and evaluate Member Services staff.
- Establish service standards and ensure a resident-first culture throughout all Member Services interactions.
- Oversee resident registration processes for homeowners, renters, and new residents.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of membership databases and resident records.
- Manage the issuance of resident ID badges and access credentials.
- Oversee ticket sales, club memberships, gift certificates, and other member transactions.
- Ensure accurate processing of homeowner dues, assessments, and other payments.
- Supervise daily cash handling, balancing, deposits, and financial reconciliation procedures.
- Develop, document, and improve departmental processes and operating procedures.
- Monitor service levels and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
- Handle complex resident concerns and escalated service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Association policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage department schedules and staffing levels to maintain adequate coverage.
- Assist with special projects, community events, and organizational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Hospitality, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of customer service, hospitality, HOA, property management, or community association experience.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and customer service.
- Experience with cash handling, financial reconciliation, and transaction processing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and database systems.
