Job Summary
Performs a variety of tasks related to maintaining Sun City Roseville Community Association (SCRCA) websites, digital content, digital communications, and other projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, creative individual who enjoys designing and maintaining visually appealing websites and other digital content, collaborating with a variety of individuals, learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in web design.
Responsibilities
Design, create, edit, and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly SCRCA websites that are responsive, accessible, and perform optimally on various devices and browsers.
Learn and become proficient using our content management system, digital signage solution, and other resources.
Design, create, edit, and maintain visually appealing SCRCA digital signage and other content.
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner. Work with vendors as needed.
Assist members and other users in accessing or updating SCRCA websites and content.
Regularly contacts department heads and clubs/groups/committees to obtain design information, requirements and other details for marketing, event, and website changes/updates.
Effectively and professionally communicate with a variety of individuals internally and externally.
Coordinate with the Resident Website workgroup to update and improve web pages, expand access and usage of the Resident Website. Work with member clubs/groups on the maintenance and upkeep of their web pages and email blasts.
Post, edit and maintain all content on the SCRCA Resident Website and other SCRCA websites. Keep all content relevant and up to date. Request the most recent information when needed.
Design, review, and send SCRCA and other associated HTML email blasts.
Keep skills and knowledge up to date, learn and apply new skills and technologies quickly.
Research and recommend or propose solutions or technologies that could be of benefit.
Other duties as required.
Requirements
Excellent computer, mobile/tablet, and technical skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office.
In-depth working and applied knowledge of HTML/CSS. JavaScript experience a plus. Experience using CMS platforms. Possess an excellent understanding of overall website design including usability, responsive design, major web browsers, industry standards, ADA web accessibility guidelines, architecture, and navigation. Strong sense of design.
In-depth working and applied knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
Excellent ability to create and edit digital graphics, documents, and other design materials.
Excellent critical thinking skills, creative, detail-oriented, professional, and well organized.
Willing and able to keep skills up to date and quickly able to learn and apply new skills and technologies.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal. Ability to use empathy and patience when working with individuals.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting with a variety of individuals.
2 or more years of experience in a Website or Graphics Designer role building and/or maintaining websites and digital content.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
