What You'll Do
- Lead group fitness classes in accordance with class descriptions and advertised fitness levels.
- Incorporate proper fitness principles including warmup, cardio conditioning, flexibility, and cooldown.
- Utilize effective cueing, choreography, and class organization techniques to ensure participant safety and enjoyment.
- Provide outstanding customer service and build positive relationships with residents.
- Set up and clean up fitness equipment and exercise spaces.
- Arrive at least 5 minutes before class to welcome participants and prepare the room.
- Wear a microphone during all classes.
- Assist with department events, promotions, and meetings as needed.
- Secure qualified substitute instructors when unable to teach a scheduled class.
- Communicate safety concerns and equipment issues to management.
- Maintain current CPR/AED certification and respond appropriately during
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Group Fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization
- Current Adult CPR/AED certification.
- Knowledge of group fitness programming, cueing, choreography, and class instruction.
- Strong customer service, communication, and motivational skills.
- Dependable, professional, punctual, and detailoriented.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift/carry up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
