Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all daily store operations to ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient shopping experience
- Supervise, train, support, and schedule staff and volunteers
- Oversee inventory flow, including donation intake, sorting, pricing, merchandising, and seasonal displays
- Ensure accurate cash handling, POS use, sales reporting, and financial accountability
- Develop promotional strategies to increase sales, donor engagement, and community visibility
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with organizational policies
- Plan and coordinate donation drives, special events, and outreach initiatives
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (education in business, retail management, or nonprofit leadership
- preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of retail or management experience (thrift store experience strongly preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with volunteers and diverse community members
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer applications
- Enthusiasm for nonprofit work and commitment to organizational mission and values
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail sales or thrift store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management, pricing strategies, and inventory control techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster positive customer interactions.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic bookkeeping is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse community needs.
