The Capital Projects and Installations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of capital machine installations, ensuring seamless delivery and startup for customers. This role focuses on project planning, communication, coordination of resources, and successful transition to aftermarket support. The position covers all capital machine sales, including SUN RDC, PARA and Kolbus machines. This position reports directly to the Director of Aftermarket.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage detailed installation project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones for each machine installation.
- Communicate with internal teams and customers to coordinate and track machine shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to installation sites.
- Schedule installation crews and contractors, ensuring all personnel are briefed and available to meet project requirements.
- Provide clear, daily updates on installation progress to stakeholders, proactively identifying and communicating any issues or delays.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving installation and startup challenges, escalating critical issues promptly while working to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of training materials and facilitate effective training delivery to customer teams during installation.
- Ensure all installation deliverables are met, coordinate customer sign-off, and complete installation closeout documentation.
- Facilitate a smooth transition to aftermarket service teams, providing all necessary documentation and project details for ongoing customer support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably has a bachelor’s degree in project management, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multi-phase projects to successful completion.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear updates and manage customer expectations.
- Experience coordinating installation crews and contractors in an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to address and resolve challenges efficiently.
- Familiarity with machine installation training materials and delivery methods.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Able to travel 25% of the time.
