Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable HVAC Instructor to inspire and educate the next generation of skilled technicians. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive classroom and hands-on training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. As an HVAC Instructor, you will develop engaging curricula and ensure students gain practical experience aligned with industry standards and safety regulations.
Duties
- Deliver engaging classroom training on HVAC/R systems
- Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect current industry practices and technological advancements
- Conduct hands-on training sessions in simulated or real-world environments such as laboratories or workshops
- Assess student progress through evaluations, practical demonstrations, and written examinations
- Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to OSHA standards and promoting safety protocols during all activities
- Collaborate with industry partners to incorporate real-world scenarios into training modules
- Provide guidance on maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures for HVAC systems and related equipment
Skills
- Strong technical proficiency in HVAC/R systems
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for maintaining a safe educational environment
- Ability to teach complex concepts related to air conditioning, HVAC systems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct diverse student populations with varying levels of prior knowledge
Requirements:
- Minimum of four (4) years of verifiable related full-time occupational experience OR
- 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree OR
- Valid PA Vocational I or II Certification
All training and tuition are paid by SUN Tech for those that need to complete the teaching certification courses.
