What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant position at Sun After School?
We are looking for a person to work in an after-school program. We are seeking someone who is kind, caring, responsible, and truly passionate about working with children. It is essential that they enjoy being around kids, and that they bring patience, creativity, and a positive attitude to a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include providing constant support to the teacher in daily activities, helping organize the group, and ensuring a safe, respectful, and structured environment for the children. The candidate will also assist with serving snacks appropriately, promoting healthy habits, and supervising the children during this time.
Additionally, this person will help with and supervise homework, encouraging independence, responsibility, and good study habits, while offering individual support when needed. Another key responsibility is planning and leading fun and educational games and recreational activities that contribute to the children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
The ability to work well in a team, strong communication skills, initiative, punctuality, and previous experience in childcare or education are highly valued.
