- Assist the Summer Reading Camp Teacher with the implementation of daily instruction, interventions, and small group activities.

- Provide support to students with special needs as directed by the teacher.
- Work collaboratively with the R2S/CERDEP Summer Camp Administration, the Academic Department, and community partners.
- Daily supervision of students during Summer Reading Camp, including lunch, recess, and transportation.
- Attend and participate in required orientation/training provided prior to summer camp.
- Assist the teacher with classroom data collection and documentation.
- Other responsibilities as required by the Summer Reading Camp Administrator and Teacher.
- Reports to the Summer Reading Camp Administrator and Summer Reading Camp Teacher.

Position Title: Summer Reading Camp Paraprofessional/Assistant
Salary/Pay Scale: $3,690
Requirements: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or two (2) years of college coursework preferred. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or camp setting, is desirable.
Description: Under the supervision of the Summer Reading Camp Teacher and Administrator, the Paraprofessional/Assistant will provide support for intensive literacy instruction and daily camp operations. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Salary/Pay Scale: $3,690, for the duration of the summer camp and to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Quoted stipend is dependent upon full attendance throughout the camp and required training. This position is temporary and is limited to the duration of the R2S/CERDEP Summer Camp 2026.
At a minimum, the Site Administrator must be available on the following dates:
May 27, 2026
June 1 - June 25, 2026 (M-Th)
A minimum of seven and a half (7.5) hours of supervision, per day, during the Summer Camp is required.
