In the event of any change in the District's organizational chart, reduction in force, or whenever it is deemed in the best interest of the District, the Superintendent may reassign the Employee. Further, the District reserves the right to make reassignments, upon notice to and consultation with the affected employee, consistent with S.C. Code Ann. 59-24-15, as amended.

Job Duties
- Directs the implementation, maintenance, and coordination of all system-wide programs, plans, policies, procedures, and practices directly related to non-instructional operations.
- Responsible for specific operational functions: food services, maintenance and custodial services, transportation services, and technology.
- Ensures compliance with operational standards, both internal and external.
- Supervises the Executive Director of Operations.
- Provides executive control of operational functions by exercising delegated level of authority over budgetary and personnel decisions, as directed by the Superintendent and the Board.
- Ensures the operational support of instructional programs in compliance with relevant standards, both internal and external, by providing cost-effective food services, maintenance and custodial services and transportation services, etc.
- Sets performance standards and objectives, providing proper training and professional development opportunities, evaluating performance, and recommending pay actions.
- Consult and collaborate with school personnel and other community agency personnel in establishing and planning for respective roles in improving the quality of student outcome and developing solutions.
- Develops long and short range plans/programs and annual budget for the purpose of ensuring that the district's resources are effectively utilized to improve student achievement for all students.
- Evaluates programs and/or projects (e.g. food services, maintenance and custodial services, and transportation services, etc.) for the purpose of carrying out and achieving objectives within the area of responsibility.
- Compiles data from a variety of sources for the purposes of developing and/or evaluating programs and/or complying with financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
- Manages and oversees program components for the purpose of delivering services which conform to established guidelines and regulations.
- Manages resource allocations and enhancements for the purpose of ensuring that they are based on needs assessment.
- Monitors fund balances of assigned programs and related financial activity for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, related revenues are generated, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
- Monitors district compliance with all federal, state and local guidelines and regulations.
- Performs personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.
- Composes a wide variety of documents in both written and electronic formats (e.g. reports, memos, letter, policies, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
- Performs all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Physical Requirements: Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis or routine keyboard operations. Requires mobility.
- Data Conception: Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable functional, structural or compositional characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things.
- Interpersonal Communications: Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving assignments and/or directions to subordinates and receiving assignments and/or direction from supervisor.
- Language Ability: Requires ability to read a variety of laws, policies and procedures, technical and professional studies, reference books and publications, etc. Requires the ability to prepare performance appraisals, policies, strategic plans, complex reports, schedules, correspondence, etc. with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech. - Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to add and subtract totals, to multiply and divide, to utilize mathematical formulas, to determine percentages and decimals and to determine time. Must be able to use practical applications of algebra and statistics.
- Form/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width and shape, and visually read various information.
- Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes using office machinery; to operate motor vehicles.
- Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, keyboards, office equipment, control knobs, buttons, switches, catches, etc. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
- Color Discrimination: Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color.
- Interpersonal Temperament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations, volatile situations or tight deadlines.
