Crew Foreman – Insulation Company
The Crew Foreman is responsible for leading crews of insulation installers on residential and commercial job sites. This position ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards while providing leadership, training, and direction to crew members. The Crew Foreman serves as the primary point of contact between the installation crew, customers, builders, and company management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise installation crews on daily job assignments.
- Review work orders, plans, and specifications before beginning each project.
- Ensure all insulation products are installed according to manufacturer specifications, applicable building codes, and company standards.
- Install fiberglass batt, blown-in fiberglass, spray foam, and other insulation products as needed.
- Verify that job sites are prepared before installation begins.
- Conduct final inspections of completed work before leaving the job site.
- Communicate with builders, homeowners, general contractors, and company management regarding job progress or issues.
- Document completed work, material usage, and any changes or delays.
- Train new installers in proper installation techniques and safe work practices.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Ensure company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company positively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of insulation installation or construction experience.
- Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of fiberglass, blown insulation, and spray foam installation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass any required background checks or drug screenings.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, elevated platforms, and confined spaces.
- Stand, kneel, bend, crawl, and reach for extended periods.
- Work in hot, cold, dusty, and humid conditions.
- Wear respirators and other required PPE.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
