Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters from initial consult through resolution or trial when necessary.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement documents, and other litigation‑related filings.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of statutes, case law, and regulations relevant to business litigation.
- Direct case strategy, client communication, and evaluation of risk/exposure.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys to manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Maintain professional standards of conduct, client confidentiality, and ethical obligations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Utah bar.
- 1–5 years civil litigation experience, preferably with exposure to business‑related disputes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and client relationships.
- Professional demeanor, integrity, and a commitment to high‑quality legal work.
- Self‑motivated, able to lead and direct 2-4 paralegals.
