Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting empty semi trailers and box trucks to and from our local customers for repairs. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks, flatbeds, dry vans, and refrigerated trailers, in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Perform route driving to transport empty equipment to various locations efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with the office and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to operate different types of trucks including but not limited to box trucks, dry vans, refrigeration trailers, and flat beds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
