Duties

• Accurately take and process to-go and delivery orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct.
• Prepare orders for pickup or delivery, including packaging food securely and maintaining presentation standards.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by answering questions about menu items, specials, and dietary options.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or cash registers.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, counters, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation guidelines.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales while respecting guest preferences.
• Assist with bussing tables or cleaning as needed during busy periods to support overall restaurant operations.
• Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive takeaway experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and cashiering.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings like nightclubs.
• Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Culinary experience is a plus—understanding food preparation and presentation enhances service quality.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences to boost sales.
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation/guest management tools is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of serving etiquette, bussing techniques, and host/host responsibilities is beneficial.
